How to Reach Atomic Bomb Dome, Hiroshima, Japan

By Air

• International travelers can fly into Hiroshima Airport (HIJ). From there, take a limousine bus to Hiroshima Station, which takes about 45 minutes.
• Alternatively, if you’re flying into a different part of Japan, domestic flights are available to Hiroshima Airport from major cities like Tokyo and Osaka.

By Train

• The fastest way to reach Hiroshima from other parts of Japan is by taking the Shinkansen (bullet train) to Hiroshima Station. The Shinkansen lines that run to Hiroshima are the Sanyo and the Tokaido lines.
• Hiroshima Station is well-connected to other major cities like Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto.

From Hiroshima Station

• Once at Hiroshima Station, take the south exit and board the Hiroshima Electric Railway (Hiroden) tram line 2 or 6 towards Miyajimaguchi (宮島口) or Eba (江波).
• Get off at the Genbaku-Domu Mae (Atomic Bomb Dome) stop. The ride takes about 15-20 minutes.

By Bus

• From Hiroshima Station, you can also take the Hiroshima sightseeing loop bus, “Meipuru-pu.”
• Get off at the A-Bomb Dome stop.
