Best Time to Visit Babur Gardens (Baghe Babur), Kabul, Afghanistan

Spring Season (March to May) is widely considered the best time to visit Babur Gardens. During these months, you’ll find Kabul experiencing a reawakening of nature, with pleasant temperatures averaging between 10°C to 20°C (50°F to 68°F). This is the period when the gardens burst into bloom, showcasing a plethora of flowers, including the roses for which the gardens are renowned. The spring provides a perfect backdrop for visitors to admire the landscape's aesthetic, take leisurely strolls along the pathways, and enjoy the serenity of the historic gardens without the extreme cold or heat that other seasons bring. Arriving early in the season allows you to witness the bloom of the almond trees, which is a particular highlight for many visitors.

Autumn Season (September to November) is another delightful period to explore Babur Gardens. The weather during these months is cool and comfortable, with temperatures similar to those in spring. Autumn ushers in a different color palette to the gardens, as the leaves change color, creating a beautiful natural mosaic that is very picturesque. This is also considered an ideal time for photography enthusiasts who wish to capture the beauty of the gardens against the vibrant autumnal hues. Additionally, the lower number of tourists in autumn can make for a more peaceful and intimate experience of the historic site, allowing visitors to soak in the ambiance and rich historical context undisturbed.
