Best Time to Visit Barehipani and Joranda Waterfalls, Baripada, Odisha, India

Situated in the heart of the Similipal National Park in Odisha, the Barehipani and Joranda Waterfalls are a must-visit for nature lovers. The best time to visit these waterfalls is from October to June. During this period, the monsoon rains have replenished the water levels, ensuring that the waterfalls are a spectacular sight. October marks the beginning of the post-monsoon season when the falls are at their most voluminous and the surrounding forest is lush and vibrant. The weather is pleasant and ideal for sightseeing, with temperatures ranging from a comfortable 15°C to 25°C.

As the months progress towards the winter season, the water flow remains good, and the cooler temperature makes for an excellent trekking experience. Between November and February, the climate is cooler, which offers an ideal time for tourists to explore the natural beauty without the discomfort of the intense heat and humidity that prevails during other times of the year. However, it's important to note that the waterfalls might slowly start receding towards the end of this period. Moreover, spotting wildlife in the vicinity of Similipal National Park is also likely during these months. Summers, specifically from March to June, can still be a good time to visit, but be prepared for warmer weather. It is recommended to carry light cotton clothing and plenty of water on your excursions around this time.
