Brahma Sarovar, an ancient water body sacred to Hindu mythology, is located in the city of Kurukshetra, Haryana, India. It is believed that Lord Brahma created the universe from this place, making it a site of immense religious importance, especially during solar eclipses when pilgrims from across India gather to take a holy dip. Spanning over 180 acres, this huge rectangular sarovar features a central island with a marble statue of Lord Shiva. The surrounding ghats (bathing steps) are frequented by devotees performing rituals and prayers year-round. The Sarovar's tranquil environment is conducive to spiritual reflection and attracts tourists interested in cultural and mythological heritage. The Kurukshetra Development Board maintains the site, which also includes a well-organized park where light and sound shows narrate the Bhagavad Gita's teachings.
