By Air

Yenişehir Airport (YEI) is the nearest airport to Bursa. However, it has limited flight options. Most travelers opt to fly into Istanbul and then travel to Bursa.

From Istanbul to Bursa

  • Ferry: The most scenic route. Take a ferry from Istanbul (either from Yenikapı or Pendik) to Yalova or Mudanya, then a bus to Bursa city center.
  • Bus: Various bus companies operate from Istanbul's main bus terminal, Esenler Otogarı, directly to Bursa.
  • Car: Rent a car and drive via the O-5 and D575 highways. The trip is approximately 2-3 hours.

By Train

There is no direct train service to Bursa. However, you can take a high-speed train from Istanbul to Konya or Ankara and alight at Arifiye or İzmit. From there, you can transfer to a bus to Bursa.

By Bus

Direct intercity buses run frequently from major cities in Turkey to Bursa. The main bus terminal in Bursa is called Bursa Şehirlerarası Otobüs Terminali.
