The Colombo Dutch Museum, situated in Colombo, Sri Lanka, is a place rich in historical significance and cultural heritage. Established in the 17th century, it was originally a mansion of the Dutch governor and was later converted into a museum to preserve the Dutch legacy in Sri Lanka. The museum showcases artifacts, furniture, ceramics, and coins dating back to the colonial era, providing insights into the lives of the Dutch administrators and the interactions between Sri Lankan and Dutch cultures. The building itself is a colonial architectural gem, reflecting the European style infused with local influences. It stands as a testament to the colonial past and serves as a reminder of the complex history of trade, diplomacy, and culture during the period of Dutch rule in Sri Lanka. Visitors can explore various exhibits spread across the mansion's rooms, each telling a different story about the colonial past, trade activities, and the lifestyle of the Dutch inhabitants during their stay on the island.

Renovations
This 17th century building is at this moment under renovations. Too bad we couldn’t see more about the Dutch history in Colombo in this place.
