COPE Visitor Centre Tourism

The COPE Visitor Centre is an educational and informative establishment situated in Vientiane, the capital city of Laos. This significant centre provides visitors with an in-depth understanding of the impact caused by Unexploded Ordinances (UXOs) as a remnant of the Vietnam War, which heavily affected Laos. The Cooperative Orthotic & Prosthetic Enterprise (COPE) actively assists people with mobility-related challenges, many of which are due to UXO accidents, by providing prosthetics and rehabilitation services. The visitor centre is an integral part of COPE's outreach, as it raises awareness and educates the public about the ongoing issue of UXOs, while also illustrating how they are supporting affected individuals. Exhibits include informative displays, documentaries, and stories of survivors, offering an emotional and eye-opening experience.
