The Dudh Kosi River is one of the highest rivers in the world, originating in the Himalayan glaciers of eastern Nepal, within the vicinity of Mount Everest. Flowing south from its source at the Ngozumpa Glacier, the river carves through the gorges of the rugged terrain, creating a picturesque backdrop in the Sagarmatha National Park. It is named 'Dudh Kosi' which means 'Milk River' in Nepali, due to its frothy white water appearance as it rushes over rocks and boulders. The river is an essential waterway for the region, and it is respected by the local Sherpa community for its spiritual significance. Tourists can experience the river's beauty as they trek towards Everest Base Camp, crossing several high suspension bridges along the way. The vivid blue waters against the stark landscape make it a photographer's paradise and a nature lover's retreat. The river also offers challenging opportunities for white-water rafting and kayaking for adventure enthusiasts.
Dudh (milk) river is all the way down from Thame village which is few hours above Namche Bazar which on the way to Renjola pass.

We followed this river all along our trek to Pangboche. It's really beautiful. I especially enjoyed going over the suspension bridges above it. Lots of travelers on the trail at this time of the year...
You can hear this river cutting through the valley miles away & it's rushing water became the back drop of our hike back to Lukla. The best view points are the many bridges that cross crossing.
