Dibru-Saikhowa National Park is located in the Tinsukia district of the state of Assam, India. Spread over approximately 765 sq km, it's one of the 19 biodiversity hotspots in the world. The park is bounded by the Brahmaputra and Dibru rivers. It primarily consists of semi-evergreen forests, deciduous forests, wet evergreen forests, and grasslands. It's renowned for its pristine scenic beauty and rare and diverse wildlife, including the white-winged wood duck, water buffalo, black-breasted parrotbill, and the tiger. The park is also an identified Important Bird Area (IBA), harboring various species of birds, making it a popular destination for birdwatchers. The riverine park combines high species diversity with visibility and is a safe haven to many migratory birds in the winter. Dibru-Saikhowa has a distinguished reputation for its feral horses.
