Fujairah Fort, situated on a hill at the edge of Date Grove, has a history that stretches back centuries and is known for being the oldest fort in the United Arab Emirates. It has witnessed various cultural and economic transformations. While not specifically known for its food history, the region of Fujairah has been influenced by the diverse cultures that have interacted with the Emirati people over time, including trade relationships with India, Persia, and other Arabian territories.

The traditional food in the area reflects the arid environment and the Arabian Gulf's resources. It is heavily based on seafood, dates, rice, and spices that were easily traded, while meat came mainly from camels, goats, and chicken, due to the limited cattle-raising in the region.
