By Train

Take the JR Yamanote Line to Tokyo Station. The Imperial Palace is a short 10 to 15-minute walk from Marunouchi North Exit.

Alternatively, you can take the Chiyoda Line to Nijubashimae Station, and it's a mere 5-minute walk to the Palace's East Gardens.

By Subway

Two subway stations are conveniently located near the Imperial Palace:

• Otemachi Station: Served by the Chiyoda, Tozai, Marunouchi, Hanzomon, and Mita lines. From here, it's approximately a 10-minute walk to the palace grounds.
