Jagatjit Palace in Kapurthala, Punjab, India, is a magnificent architectural marvel that stands as a testament to the grandeur of the erstwhile princely state of Kapurthala. This opulent edifice was the erstwhile residence of Maharaja Jagatjit Singh, the last ruler of Kapurthala. Designed by French architect Marcel and built in the early 20th century, the palace's design draws heavy inspiration from the Versailles Palace and Fontainebleau. Its Beaux-Arts style is a fusion of Greco-Roman, Neo-Classical, and Indian architectural influences, which is reflective of Maharaja Jagatjit Singh's cosmopolitan tastes and passion for European aesthetics. The palace is set amidst sprawling lush gardens and water bodies, creating a serene and picturesque ambience. Today, the palace houses the Sainik School, a prestigious military institution, and part of it is also a museum that showcases the royal history and heritage of Kapurthala.

Wonderful place to visit
Presently running as the Sainik School, it consists of many antiques and other atricles used by the rulers at that time in the museum. There is also a beautiful library insidee the palace.
