Traveling to Jathika Namal Uyana

By Air

The closest airport is the Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo. From there, you can either rent a car or take domestic air transport to reach Dambulla.

By Road

Jathika Namal Uyana is approximately 164 km away from Colombo, and the journey can take around 4 hours via road.

1. From Colombo, take the Colombo - Katunayake Expressway (E03) and then head onto the Katunayake - Minuwangoda Road (A03).
2. Switch to Kurunegala - Puttalam Road (A10) and proceed to Dambulla Road (A6) until you reach Dambulla.
3. Once in Dambulla, follow local signs to reach Jathika Namal Uyana.

By Bus

Regular bus services are available from Colombo to Dambulla. Once in Dambulla, local buses or tuk-tuks can take you closer to the site.

By Train

Although there's no direct train service to Dambulla, you can take a train to either Anuradhapura or Habarana and then take a bus or taxi to Damballa and onwards to Jathika Namal Uyana.
