This crucial piece of infrastructure spans a length of 3015 meters and is named after the Ahom General, Kalia Bhomora Phukan. It serves as an important link for road connectivity between the districts of Sonitpur on the north bank and Nagaon on the south. Constructed by the Border Roads Organization, it was inaugurated in April 1987, boosting the economic activities in the region by simplifying transportation of goods and people across the river. The bridge offers picturesque views, especially during sunrise and sunset, with the backdrop of the Brahmaputra and the Himalayan foothills. from tezpur town it takes 15 minutes to reach.Very long it takes around 3 minutes to cross the bridge nd a superb view of brahmaputra river in the evening time the lighting is nice
