Kenting National Park is located at the southern tip of Taiwan in the Hengchun Peninsula of Pingtung County. It is renowned for its beautiful beaches, tropical climate, and rich biodiversity, both on land and in the surrounding waters. The park covers an area of approximately 333 square kilometers and was established in 1984, making it Taiwan's first national park. It features a wide range of ecological environments, including coral reefs, dunes, and tropical forests, which are home to a variety of plant and animal species. Kenting's landscapes offer a mix of natural scenic vistas like the Eluanbi Lighthouse, which stands as the southernmost point of Taiwan, the impressive Maobitou, and the long stretch of sandy beach at Kenting Main Street that comes to life with night markets and festivities. The park is also popular for water sports and activities, including snorkeling, diving, and surfing. Kenting National Park is a testament to Taiwan's commitment to preserving its natural environment while promoting eco-tourism and cultural richness.
