Train (S-Bahn): The Kunsthalle is within walking distance from the Hamburg Hauptbahnhof (main train station). You can catch a variety of S-Bahn trains (S1, S2, S3) to Hauptbahnhof.
Underground (U-Bahn): If you prefer the underground network, take the U1, U2 or U3 to the Hauptbahnhof Süd station.
Bus: Several bus lines, including 112, stop near the Kunsthalle. The closest bus stops are Hauptbahnhof/ZOB for buses 112 and Kunsthalle for the express buses.
If you are driving to the Kunsthalle, you can enter the destination on your GPS for directions. Parking is limited in the city center, but there are parking garages nearby, such as City Parkhaus (located on Glockengießerwall) which is right opposite the Kunsthalle.
From Hamburg Airport (HAM), you can take the S1 S-Bahn train directly to Hamburg Hauptbahnhof and walk to the museum. It takes approximately 25 minutes by train.
Hamburg is a bike-friendly city with numerous bike paths. You can rent a city bike from one of the many StadtRAD Hamburg stations and cycle to the Kunsthalle. There are bike parking spots nearby.
The museum is accessible to visitors with limited mobility. Entrance for visitors with disabilities is located at the rear of the building, via the ramp at Gründgensplatz.
