Langkawi Underwater World Tourism

Langkawi Underwater World is a well-known aquarium and marine showcase located at the southern end of Pantai Cenang, Langkawi, Malaysia. Spanning over 6,000 square meters, it is one of the largest marine and freshwater aquaria in Southeast Asia. The complex is divided into three sections: Tropical Rainforest, Temperate, and Sub-Antarctic. The Sub-Antarctic ecosystem, that includes a penguinarium with an underwater tunnel to view swimming penguins, is a highlight. Visitors can also find an Educational Resource Centre, a cafeteria, and a three-dimensional (3D) theatre. The Underwater World plays a crucial part in conservation and education efforts, showcasing over 4,000 different aquatic species including the rockhopper penguins, sharks, giant rays, and green turtles.
