Long Son Pagoda Tourism

Long Son Pagoda, also known as Chua Long Son, is a distinctive Buddhist temple located in the coastal city of Nha Trang in Khanh Hoa Province, Vietnam. Founded in the late 19th century, the pagoda has been through several renovations over the years. One of its most prominent features is a massive white Buddha statue seated atop a lotus blossom, which can be seen from a distance and is accessible by climbing 152 steps. This statue is dedicated to the monks and nuns who died protesting the Diem regime. The pagoda complex also features a reclining Buddha. Visitors to Long Son Pagoda can admire intricate mosaics made from glass and ceramic tiles as well as a variety of dragons, one of which forms the banister for the stairs leading up to the Buddha. The pagoda serves as both a tourist attraction and an active monastery with monks residing within the compounds. The serene atmosphere and beautiful architecture offer a spiritual retreat and insight into Vietnamese Buddhist practices. The pagoda grounds house various outdoor sculptures and alt-winners that add to the spiritual ambiance.
