Macao Tower, also known as Macau Tower, is a significant landmark and a symbol of the city's eclectic blend of Portuguese and Chinese cultures. Standing at 338 meters tall, the tower offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Macau peninsula and the surrounding areas. It was inspired by the Sky Tower in Auckland, New Zealand, and was designed by Gordon Moller, a New Zealand architect. The Macao Tower was completed in 2001 and features an observation deck, a revolving restaurant, theaters, shopping malls and the Skywalk X, a thrilling walk around the outer rim. For the adventure seekers, it holds the Guinness World Record for the Highest Commercial Bungy Jump in the world, offering jumps from a height of 233 meters. The tower also serves as a convention and entertainment center and has facilities for exhibitions and other large-scale events. It is an embodiment of Macau's rapid economic growth and development, and its stance as a bustling hub of tourism and leisure.
