Best Time to Visit Mahur (Renuka Devi Temple), Nanded, Maharashtra, India

The most auspicious time to visit the Renuka Devi Temple in Mahur is during the cooler months of October to March. The weather during this period is pleasant, with moderate temperatures making it comfortable for pilgrims to indulge in temple activities and sightseeing around the area. This season also coincides with several Hindu festivals, which are celebrated with great fervor at the temple. Particularly, the festival of Navaratri, usually in September or October, sees a surge in devout visitors coming to pay homage to the Goddess Renuka, as the temple is one of the Shakti Peethas revered in Hinduism.

The temple is also highly visited during the Chaitra and Ashwin months of the Hindu calendar when the temple hosts special rituals and fairs. However, if you prefer to avoid crowds, you might opt for visiting in the winter months of November to February, when the climate is at its best with a cool breeze and mild temperatures. During this period, the natural beauty of the surrounding Sahyadri hills is enhanced, making your spiritual journey not only calming but also visually rewarding. However, be aware that Mahur can be quite busy during weekends and public holidays, regardless of the season.
