Mawlynnong, known as the cleanest village in Asia, is nestled in the pristine hills of Meghalaya and offers visitors the chance to immerse themselves in its natural beauty and cultural richness. The best time to visit Mawlynnong is during the months of March to June, which is the pre-monsoon and early monsoon period. During these months, the weather is pleasantly warm with minimal rainfall, allowing travelers to explore the village and surrounding attractions comfortably. The temperature ranges from 20°C to 30°C, which is ideal for sightseeing, trekking, and experiencing outdoor activities like the famous living root bridges or the Sky View, which provides a panoramic view of the Bangladesh plains below.

Another favorable time to visit Mawlynnong is from September to November, just after the monsoon season when the lush greenery is at its peak, presenting an enchanting view of the village and its surroundings. During this period, the waterfalls and streams will be full, adding to the beauty of the landscapes. However, travelers should note that rain can still be expected although it's less frequent. Visiting during this window also allows for participation in local festivals.
