Mehao Wildlife Sanctuary Tourism

Mehao Wildlife Sanctuary, located in the Lower Dibang Valley district of Arunachal Pradesh, India, is a biodiversity hotspot teeming with a range of flora and fauna. Spread across approximately 281.5 square kilometers, it was established in 1980 to preserve the rich ecological heritage and diverse wildlife of the region. The sanctuary is encompassed by the Mishmi Hills and is home to numerous species including the clouded leopard, Mishmi takin, red panda, and hoolock gibbon. The terrain is a mix of tropical and subtropical forests, with an elevation ranging from 400 to 3568 meters above sea level.
