Best Time To Visit Meysari Vineyards (Shamakhi) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Meysaki Vineyards in Shamakhi, Azerbaijan

The ideal time to visit Meysari Vineyards in Shamakhi, Azerbaijan, is during the grape harvesting season, which typically spans from late August to early October. This period, known as the vendange or harvest time, offers visitors the chance to experience the lush vineyards brimming with ripe fruit and to participate in the vibrant harvesting festivities. The climate is especially agreeable in September, with average temperatures ranging from 15°C to 25°C (59°F to 77°F), providing a comfortable atmosphere for outdoor activities such as vineyard tours and wine tastings. Moreover, visiting during this season allows guests to witness firsthand the winemaking process — from picking the grapes to the initial stages of fermentation — a deeply cultural and educational experience for wine enthusiasts.

Alternatively, if you prefer a quieter visit with a focus on the scenic beauty and wine tastings, spring (April to June) is also a commendable time. The weather is mild and the vineyards are in full bloom, painting a picturesque backdrop for leisurely tours. However, be aware that spring can bring unpredictable weather, with occasional rain showers. Visiting during these months also means fewer tourists, which equates to more personalized attention during your vineyard experience. No matter the season, ensuring you book your visit and accommodations in advance is recommended, especially during the high season of harvest time when Meysari Vineyards become a magnet for tourists and wine aficionados.
