Best Time to Visit Multan, Pakistan

Multan, known as the City of Saints, experiences a desert climate with extreme temperatures in the summer and mild winters. The best time to visit Multan is during the cooler months, from November to March. During this period, the weather is pleasantly cool with average temperatures ranging from 7°C to 22°C (45°F to 72°F), creating ideal conditions for exploring the rich cultural heritage and historical landmarks of the city without the discomfort of the scorching heat. These months are also conducive to enjoying the local festivals and outdoor activities that Multan has to offer.

Starting from late February to early March, the city celebrates its most vibrant festival, the Annual Urs of Shah Rukn-e-Alam. This event attracts thousands of visitors from across the country and from abroad, making it a great time to experience the local culture and spirituality. However, if you prefer a quieter visit, aim for December or January, when the tourist traffic is lower, and you can enjoy the historical sites such as the Multan Fort and the Mausoleum of Shah Ali Akbar at your own pace. Regardless of when you visit, Multan exudes a charm that is heightened by its agreeable weather during these months.
