Mushkoh Valley, situated in the Drass region of Ladakh, India, is known for its unspoiled natural beauty and strategic military significance. At an elevation of over 3,300 meters, it is surrounded by snow-clad mountains with picturesque views. This location gained prominence during the 1999 Kargil War between India and Pakistan. The valley, with its rugged terrain and steep mountains, presents a daunting challenge to trekkers and is often referred to as the ‘valley of wild flowers’ because of the various species blooming in the summer season. Mushkoh Valley is not a regular tourist spot due to its proximity to the Line of Control (LOC) and security reasons, but it has been drawing attention from those interested in visiting lesser-known places and experiencing the raw beauty and might of the Greater Himalayas.
