Best Time To Visit Nafakhum Waterfall (Bandarban) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Nafakhum Waterfall, Bandarban, Bangladesh

The optimal time to visit Nafakhum Waterfall in Bandarban is between the late autumn and early spring months, specifically from November to February. During this season, the weather in Bandarban is generally cooler and more pleasant, which makes trekking to the waterfall more comfortable. The humidity is lower and there is a decreased chance of rainfall, which can otherwise make the trails slippery and dangerous. It's also the perfect time to witness the waterfall in its full glory as the water level is moderate after the monsoon, making it safer for visitors to enjoy without the monsoons' heavy currents.

However, if you wish to see the waterfall at its most powerful, the immediate post-monsoon months of September and October might be tempting. This is when the water levels are at their highest; however, visitors should exercise caution as the paths can be challenging and the currents quite strong. It is important for visitors to check local weather conditions and seek advice from local guides as the trails to Nafakhum can become treacherous during and after heavy rainfalls. Irrespective of the season, trekkers should be prepared with appropriate footwear, gear, and possibly a local guide to fully enjoy the beauty of Nafakhum safely.
