Step 1: Arriving at Bandarban Town
Firstly, you need to get to Bandarban town which can be done using the following modes of transportation:
- From Dhaka: You can take a bus from Dhaka to Bandarban which takes about 8-10 hours.
- From Chittagong: If you are in Chittagong, a bus journey will take around 3-4 hours to reach Bandarban.
Step 2: Thanchi Upazila
Upon arriving in Bandarban, you'll need to take a local bus or a jeep (locally called "Chander Gari") to Thanchi, which is approximately 79 kilometers away from Bandarban town.
Step 3: Tindu or Remakri
From Thanchi Upazila, you can book a boat to take you up the Sangu River. The boat journey can take you to either Tindu or Remakri which are the nearest points to the waterfall that can be reached by boat.
Step 4: Trekking to Nafakhumm
The final leg of the journey to Nafakhum involves a trek through the hills and forest. Depending on your starting point (Tindu or Remakri), the trek to the waterfall can take between 3-5 hours.

- Best Time to Visit: The best time to visit Nafakhum Waterfall is from November to March as the water level is lower and the weather is more conducive for traveling.
