Naulakha Mandir Tourism
Type of destination: Hindu Temple
Ideal visit duration: 1 to 2 hours
Naulakha Mandir is a beautiful temple situated in Deoghar, a sacred city in the state of Jharkhand, India. This exquisite shrine, constructed in 1948 by a charitable trust, stands gracefully at a height of 146 feet. Inspired by the architecture of the Ramakrishna Temple in Belur, West Bengal, the temple owes its name, which translates to 'nine lakhs', to the cost incurred during its construction, which was approximately nine lakh rupees at that time. Dedicated to the brotherly duo of Radha and Krishna, deities revered in Hinduism, the white marbled temple emanates a serene vibe, attracting devotees and tourists alike. Set amidst tranquil surroundings, with verdant foliage adding to its beauty, this shrine is also a vantage point providing panoramic views of Deoghar. The temple complex is well-maintained and houses the idols of Radha-Krishna, offering a spiritual retreat to those who visit.
