Nguyen Hue Walking Street is situated in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City (formerly known as Saigon), and it's one of the city's foremost public spaces. Spanning roughly 670 meters in length and 64 meters in width, it was converted from a traditional boulevard to a pedestrian street and officially opened in April 2015. Flanked by stunning French colonial buildings, luxury shops, thrilling entertainment hubs, and alluring cafes, this area becomes a microcosm of the vibrant life that characterizes Vietnam’s largest metropolis. The street encourages a social and cultural interaction among locals and tourists alike, facilitated by outdoor performances and various events throughout the year. Nguyen Hue Street also serves as a focal point during festivals, particularly the spectacular Lunar New Year (Tet) celebration, when it's adorned with dazzling decorations. This pedestrian promenade boasts an impressive fountain show coupled with LED lights, adding to the spectacle in the evenings. In recognition of its significance, many historical and political events have taken place here, including parades and demonstrations, as it leads straight to the Ho Chi Min City Hall at its western terminus.
Good place to just wander around and have a looksee. A few different areas etc. Quick visit is all it was for us. Nice but not too special.
