Norbulingka Palace, known as the "Jeweled Park," is a palace and surrounding park in Lhasa, Tibet Autonomous Region, China. It served as the traditional summer residence of the Dalai Lamas from the 1780s until the 14th Dalai Lama's self-exile in 1959. Today, it stands as a significant cultural and historical site.
The nearest airport to Norbulingka Palace is Lhasa Gonggar Airport (LXA). Upon landing, travelers can take a taxi or an airport shuttle to reach Lhasa city center, which is approximately 65 kilometers (40 miles) away. The journey may take up to an hour.
