How to Reach Okonomimura

Okonomimura is a famous food amusement park located in the heart of Hiroshima, known for its variety of Okonomiyaki restaurants. Okonomiyaki is a savory pancake that's a must-try in Hiroshima. Getting to Okonomimura is easy and accessible through various modes of transportation.

Flying into Hiroshima: If you are arriving by air, the closest airport is Hiroshima Airport (HIJ). From there, you can take a Limon Bus to Hiroshima Bus Center, which takes about 45-50 minutes. Limon buses run every 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the time of day.

From Hiroshima Station: Upon arriving at Hiroshima Station, you have several options:

• Take the Hiroshima Electric Railway (streetcar) Line 2 or 6 to Hatchobori Station. From there, Okonomimura is a short walk away.
• Alternatively, a taxi from Hiroshima Station to Okonomimura will take about 10 minutes.

Walking: Okonomimura is centrally located and if you are in downtown Hiroshima, it might be a pleasant walk depending on where you start. It generally takes about 15 minutes on foot from the Atomic Bomb Dome or Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park.

Remember, English might not always be widely spoken, so having a map or a translation app can be very handy. Look out for the distinctive sign indicating the entrance of Okonomimura, and you’ll know you’ve arrived at the right place for an authentic Hiroshima dining experience!
