Best Time To Visit Pangthumai Waterfall (Sylhet) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Pangthumai Waterfall, Sylhet, Bangladesh

The Pangthumai Waterfall is a monsoon-fed natural spectacle located in Sylhet, Bangladesh near the Indian border. The ideal time to revel in its full glory is during the monsoon season, which usually starts in June and lasts until September. During the monsoon months, the waterfall is at its most vigorous and picturesque state, making it a perfect time for photography enthusiasts and nature lovers to capture its splendor. The surrounding lush greenery is also at its peak, offering a refreshing and serene backdrop.

However, traveling during the monsoon can be challenging due to heavy rainfall and the potential for disruptions such as flooding and landslides. Therefore, if you are looking for a more comfortable journey, you might consider visiting just after the monsoon season, around late September to October. The water levels will still be high, and you can enjoy the mesmerizing beauty of the waterfall without the monsoon's extremities. Moreover, the weather becomes more manageable and the post-monsoon period will also allow you to explore the nearby tea gardens and other attractions of Sylhet in relatively dry conditions.
