Best Time to Visit Phnom Srey and Phnom Pros in Kampong Cham, Cambodia

Weather Considerations: The ideal time to visit Phnom Srey and Phnom Pros is during the dry season, which runs from November through April. During this time, the weather is generally warm and pleasant, with little to no rainfall, making it an excellent period for outdoor activities and temple exploration. The cooler months within this season, specifically December and January, offer the most comfortable temperatures, which usually hover around 25°C to 30°C (77°F to 86°F). Tourists can enjoy sunny days with a lower humidity level, ensuring a more comfortable experience while climbing the hills and visiting the shrines and pagodas.

Cultural Events and Crowds: If you prefer to experience the local culture at its most vibrant, consider timing your visit around Cambodian festivals like Khmer New Year, which takes place in April. However, be aware that this is also the peak tourist season, and the sites can be more crowded. To avoid larger crowds while still enjoying good weather, plan to visit in the early dry season months such - February or March. Regardless of the time you choose, visiting early in the morning can help you beat the heat and the larger groups of visitors that typically arrive later in the day.
