Perched atop the Margalla Hills at an altitude of about 5000 feet, it's a popular destination for residents and tourists. Pir Sohawa offers breathtaking views of Islamabad city and its surrounding areas, especially noticeable from the famous Monal Restaurant, which is a hotspot for dining out. The area is lush and green, with a rich diversity in flora and fauna, providing a serene escape from the urban life below. It's also home to the Daman-e-Koh viewpoint, which is a midway hill stop offering panoramic views of the city. Furthermore, Pir Sohawa becomes a site of snowfall during winters, attracting visitors to experience the winter wonderland vibe close to the capital. It also serves as a starting point for hiking trails leading up to the top of the Margalla Hills, with trails such as the Trail 3 and Trail 5 starting nearby. The Monsoon rain increases its beauty and greenery and is the site for local picnics and outings.
