Visit Timing for Preston Park and Preston Manor

Preston Park, located in Brighton, UK, is a public park that is open year-round and is an ideal location for a leisurely visit regardless of the season. However, the best time to visit Preston Park is during the spring months from March to May when the flowers are in bloom, creating a vibrant and picturesque setting. The park features various events during this period, including the Brighton Festival, which usually takes place in May. Visiting during the spring allows you to enjoy outdoor activities such as picnics, walks, and sports in the most comfortable weather conditions. Additionally, the summer months, especially July and August, are perfect for those who enjoy the warm climate and want to partake in the park's numerous summer events and gatherings.

Preston Manor is a historic house situated adjacent to Preston Park and offers visitors a glimpse into Edwardian life. The best period to visit Preston Manor is from April to September when it is typically open to the public on specific days. Visiting during this window not only allows you to explore the house and its period furnishings but also the beautifully kept walled gardens, which are especially delightful to walk through in the late spring and summer months. It's important to check the opening times before visiting as they are subject to change and may vary for special events or group tours. Remember, a visit in September coincides with the Heritage Open Days, when access to Preston Manor is usually free.
