Best Time To Visit Promenade Des Anglais (Nice) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Promenade des Anglais, Nice, France

When planning a visit to the stunning Promenade des Anglais in Nice, France, the most ideal time is during the late spring to early fall. Specifically, the months of May through October offer the most pleasant weather conditions for enjoying the seafront. During this period, the temperatures are warm but not excessively hot, typically ranging from 20°C to 27°C (68°F to 80°F). These months provide the perfect climate for leisurely walks along the promenade, sunbathing, and swimming in the Mediterranean Sea. Moreover, the daylight hours are long, ensuring plenty of sunshine for outdoor activities and sightseeing.

For those seeking a more tranquil experience without the peak season crowds, the shoulder months of May and September are particularly recommended. You will still enjoy the favorable weather while avoiding the masses of tourists that July and August tend to attract. Additionally, many cultural events and festivals take place during these times, providing visitors with a chance to experience local traditions and entertainment. It's important to note that if you're interested in the famed Nice Carnival, you should plan your visit in February, which is outside of the warmest period but offers a unique and vibrant spectacle not to be missed.
