Pushkar Ghat is a renowned riverbank spot situated in the ancient city Rajahmundry, in the East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, India. The ghat has a significant spiritual and cultural importance, being one of the many ghats on the banks of the holy River Godavari – India’s second longest river. It becomes exceptionally vibrant during the auspicious time of the Godavari Pushkaram, a festival celebrated once every 12 years, which draws millions of devotees who believe that taking a dip in the river during this period absolves sins and brings salvation. Throughout the year, Pushkar Ghat is a hub of spiritual activities where pilgrims perform rituals and poojas. The serene environment, coupled with the rhythmic sound of the flowing river, provides a tranquil experience. Additionally, it is well-equipped with modern amenities like changing rooms and bathing areas.
