Best Time to Visit Qavam House (Naranjestan) in Shiraz

The Qavam House, also known as Naranjestan-e Ghavam, is a historical mansion in Shiraz, Iran, famed for its beautiful gardens, intricate tilework, and stunning architecture. The ideal time to visit Qavam House is in the spring, particularly between late March and May. During these months, the weather in Shiraz is pleasantly mild, with temperatures ranging from 15°C to 25°C (59°F to 77°F), which is perfect for strolling through the lush gardens of Naranjestan without the discomfort of the summer heat or winter cold. Moreover, spring is when the city's famous gardens and orange groves are in full bloom, offering a sublime display of iranian flora alongside the traditional architecture and reflecting pools.

Visiting during the Nowruz (Persian New Year) holidays, which start on March 21st, can be particularly enchanting as the mansion and its gardens are often part of the festivities, though it may also be more crowded during this period. If you prefer a quieter visit, consider the weeks after the holidays when the weather is still ideal, but the crowds have thinned. Additionally, the autumn months of October and November provide another great window for visiting Naranjestan, with comfortable temperatures and fewer tourists. Regardless of when you plan your visit, the early mornings or late afternoons offer the most pleasant light for photography and the least amount of tourist activity, allowing for a more tranquil experience of this historic Persian estate.
