Railay Beach is a small peninsula located between the city of Krabi and Ao Nang in Thailand. It's accessible only by boat due to high limestone cliffs cutting off mainland access. These imposing formations enclose magnificent beaches and lush jungles, offering breathtaking views and a secluded atmosphere. Railay is divided into East and West sections, each with distinct characteristics. West Railay boasts a broad sandy beach with shallow waters perfect for swimming and sunbathing. Comparatively, East Railay is known for its mangrove forests and a coastline that mainly consists of mudflats, offering a more peaceful vibe. Besides the stunning scenery, Railay is renowned for rock climbing opportunities, with over 700 bolted routes catering to climbers of all levels. Apart from climbing, visitors can enjoy kayaking, snorkeling, and exploring hidden lagoons and caves. Accommodations on the peninsula range from budget-friendly bungalows to upscale resorts, ensuring that all visitors find a suitable place to stay. Dining options include local Thai cuisine as well as international dishes, served in beachside restaurants and bars.
Stunning clean beach with no one selling anything cleaned every day and was a joy watching the sunsets or just having fun in the ocean.

Railay east not great
Overcrowded dirty, no nice beach, a bit disappointing and touristy
We liked the scenery probably best at sunset but not very nice

Destroyed paradise
We stayed for 10 days in Railay Beach. The landscape is a pure paradies. The sand of the west beach is fine and white. And the surrounding rocks make this place magic.
Now the negative part: The peni..
Too much noise from boats and water pollution,
The water is very hot, some bits of garbage on water... No good for snorkeling.. can't see a thing.
Some medusas.. not much.
Bit disappointed overall ..

Dont trust social media
The beach was kind of dirty. There were heaps of jellyfish. The water isn't that clear. All in all a disapointing experience :/
