Ko Phi Phi Lee (also spelled Koh Phi Phi Leh) is an island of the Phi Phi archipelago, in the Andaman Sea. It belongs to the Krabi province of Thailand and is situated 1.5 kilometers off the southernmost tip of the larger Ko Phi Phi Don, which is the only populated island of the group. Uninhabited and undeveloped, Ko Phi Phi Lee covers approximately 6.6 square kilometers and is made up of limestone karsts with cliffs rising high above the emerald waters. The island is known for its stunning beaches and bays, including Maya Bay, made famous by the movie 'The Beach' starring Leonardo DiCaprio. However, due to environmental concerns, Maya Bay has been subject to closures to allow for ecological recovery. Other features of Ko Phi Phi Lee include its diverse marine life, making it a popular destination for diving and snorkeling. The interior of the island is equally fascinating with hidden lagoons and picturesque coves.
