Best Time To Visit Rajgundha Valley (Bir Billing) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Rajgundha Valley

The Rajgundha Valley, nestled in the mystical landscapes of Himachal Pradesh near Bir Billing, is a picturesque destination known for its serene beauty and outdoor activities. The best time to explore this hidden treasure is during the summer months from April to June. During these months, the weather is pleasant with temperatures ranging between 8 to 20 degrees Celsius, providing perfect conditions for trekking and camping. Since Rajgundha is located at a higher elevation, the summer climate offers a respite from the intense heat experienced in the plains. The valley comes alive with vibrant flora, and the clear skies allow for breathtaking views of the majestic Dhauladhar range. Nature enthusiasts and photography buffs will find this period ideal for capturing the enchanting landscapes.

Another great time to visit Rajgundha Valley is in the post-monsoon season, from September to November. The monsoon rains wash over the valley from July to early September, and traveling during this time can be challenging due to slippery trails and the risk of landslides. However, once the monsoon recedes, the valley dons a lush green mantle and the air is crisp and clear. Visiting in the autumn allows trekkers to enjoy the tranquil paths with lesser crowds, and it's also an ideal time for bird watching as many species migrate to this region. Although the temperatures start dropping, especially in November, the days are usually sunny, making it a pleasant time for outdoor activities before the harsh winter sets in.
