Ranca Upas is an alpine campground and conservation area located in the Ciwidey region, south of Bandung City, West Java, Indonesia. It is known for its cool climate, natural hot springs, and deer breeding area.
International and domestic travelers can fly into Husein Sastranegara International Airport in Bandung. From there, you can rent a car or take a shuttle bus to reach Ranca Upas.
Travelers can take a train to Bandung Railway Station. From the station, it is advisable to hire a taxi or a private car to travel directly to Ranca Upas.
If you are coming from Jakarta, you may drive or take a bus heading south towards Bandung and follow the route to Ciwidey. Ranca Upas is approximately 50 kilometers away from Bandung city center. The journey may take around 2 to 3 hours, depending on traffic conditions.
You can take a bus from Leuwipanjang Bus Terminal in Bandung to Ciwidey. Once in Ciwidey, you can find local transport such as ojeks (motorcycle taxis) or angkots (public minivans) to reach Ranca Upas.
