Best Time to Visit Ross and Smith Islands, Diglipur, Andaman and Nicobar, India

The ideal time to visit Ross and Smith Islands in Diglipur, which are amongst the most picturesque destinations in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, is from November to March. This period is considered the most favorable as it marks the winter season when the weather is pleasant, with minimal rainfall and clear blue skies. The relatively cooler temperatures ranging from 20°C to 30°C provide a comfortable environment for travelers to indulge in the various outdoor activities such as snorkeling, swimming, and island hopping. Additionally, the sea remains calm during these months, ensuring safe and enjoyable boat rides between the islands.

During this peak tourist season, the underwater visibility is at its best, making it perfect for those interested in marine life exploration. Moreover, the low humidity levels and the gentle sea breeze contribute to the overall delightful experience. It is crucial to avoid the monsoon months from June to September as the heavy rainfall can disrupt travel plans, with potential cancellations of boat services due to rough sea conditions. Making an advance booking for accommodation and ferry services during the peak season is recommended to ensure a hassle-free trip to these enchanting twin islands.
