Reaching Ruma, Bandarban

From Dhaka:
First, you need to get to Bandarban town. You can either go by bus or by air to reach there.

By Bus:

Direct bus services are available from Dhaka to Bandarban. Prominent operators include Saintmartin Paribahan, Hanif Enterprise, and Shyamoli Paribahan. The buses depart from different terminals in Dhaka, such as Fakirapool, Sayedabad, or Arambagh. The road journey may take approximately 8 to 10 hours depending on traffic conditions.

By Air:

If you prefer to fly, book a flight to Shah Amantr Airport in Cox's Bazar. From the airport, you can hire a car or take a bus to Bandarban which is around 3 hours away.

Once in Bandarban Town:
To reach Ruma, you'll have to arrange local transport since there is no direct bus to Ruma. You can hire a "Chander Gari" (local 4x4 vehicle), which is the most common mode of transport to Ruma. You can also book these vehicles from Ruma Bazaar or Bandarban town.

Please note that foreign tourists will need a permit to visit Ruma. This can be obtained from the district police office in Bandarban.
