By Air

The closest international airport is Ben Gurion Airport (TLV) near Tel Aviv. Once you arrive at the airport, you can rent a car or take a combination of trains and buses to Tiberias.

Renting a car is the most convenient option to reach the Sea of Galilee. From Tel Aviv, take Route 6 and then Route 65 to Route 77, which will take you directly to Tiberias. The drive typically takes around 2 hours.

By Train and Bus

Israel Railways operates services from Ben Gurion Airport to various cities. To reach Tiberias, you can take a train to the city of Afula or Beit She’an, and then switch to a bus for the remaining journey. Egged is the main bus company providing services to Tiberias.
