Sforza Castle (Castello Sforzesco) is one of the most prominent landmarks in Milan and it is easily accessible by various means of transportation. Here are the different options:

By Metro

  • The easiest way to reach the castle is via the Milan Metro. You can take the MM1 (red) or MM2 (green) lines and alight at the Cadorna FN station. From there, the castle is just a short walk away.
  • Alternatively, you can take the MM1 line and get off at the Cairoli Castello station which is right in front of the castle.

By Tram

  • Trams 1, 2, 4, 12, 14, and 27 all stop near Sforza Castle. The closest tram stop is Cairoli Castello.

By Bus

  • Buses 50, 58, 61, and 94 stop at or near the castle. Look for stops named Lanza - Castello or Cairoli Castello.

By Bicycle

  • Milan has a bike-sharing service called BikeMi. There are several bike stations throughout the city where you can pick up and drop off a bicycle, including locations near Sforza Castle.

By Car

  • If traveling by car, be aware that parking can be limited around the castle. There are paid parking areas nearby, but it's recommended to park a bit further and use public transport or walk.

By Foot

  • The castle is located in the center of Milan and can be reached by a pleasant walk from many central locations, including the Duomo di Milano, which is approximately 1 km away.
