With a rich history and vibrant culture, Sheki is a hidden jewel in Azerbaijan. The Sheki Bazaar is one of its most colorful attractions, bringing to life the essence of Azerbaijani commerce and tradition. The best time to visit Sheki Bazaar is from late spring to early fall, particularly between May and October. During these months, the weather in Sheki is pleasant, with mild to warm temperatures, making it comfortable for tourists to explore the bazaar’s bustling lanes. The summer months, while warmer, offer an exceptional variety of fresh produce and handicrafts, as this is the peak season for local farmers and artisans to showcase their goods. However, if you prefer a cooler climate with fewer crowds, late May to June or September to October would be ideal.

Additionally, planning your visit to coincide with local festivals such as the Sheki Silk Festival can enhance the experience. Usually held in June, this festival is a celebration of the region's silk production heritage and features a plethora of silk products, vibrant performances, and traditional music, enriching the bazar experience. Cultural events provide travelers with an insightful look into Sheki's traditions and an opportunity to enjoy the local cuisine at its best. Nonetheless, visiting during the weekdays can also be beneficial as the bazaar is less crowded, giving you the added advantage of a leisurely shopping experience and the undivided attention of the vendors. No matter when you decide to go, be sure to check the local calendar for any events or holidays that might affect opening hours.
