Best Time to Visit Small and Great Kyz Kala, Merv, Turkmenistan

When planning a visit to the historical sites of Small and Great Kyz Kala in Merv, Turkmenistan, timing is essential to enhance your experience. The ideal time to explore these ancient mud-brick fortresses is during the spring months, from March to May. This period offers a pleasant climate with moderate temperatures and a comfortable environment for outdoor activities. The temperatures range from 15°C to 25°C (59°F to 77°F), which is perfect for walking around the archaeological site. If you cannot visit during the spring, the next best option is the autumn season, particularly in the months of September to November.
