By Air

If you are traveling from overseas or from far within Korea, you may opt to fly. The nearest domestic airport to Sokcho is Yangyang International Airport (YNY). Once you arrive at Yangyang, you can take a bus or taxi to get to Sokcho, which is about a 30-minute ride away.

By Bus

Traveling by bus is one of the most convenient methods to reach Sokcho:

• From Seoul: You can take an express or intercity bus from Seoul Express Bus Terminal or Dong Seoul Bus Terminal to Sokcho Express Bus Terminal. The trip typically takes around 2.5 to 3 hours.

By Train

While there is no direct train service to Sokcho, travelers can take a train to Gangneung and from there, take a bus to Sokcho. The train to Gangneung can be boarded from Seoul's Cheongnyangni Station.
