Best Time To Visit Srisailam (Andhra Pradesh) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Sisailam, Andhra Pradesh

The best time to visit Srisailam is typically from October to February. During these months, the climate is quite pleasant as it is the post-monsoon and winter season in South India. The temperature during this period ranges between 14°C and 28°C, providing a comfortable environment for sightseeing and temple visits. This is the ideal time for tourists to explore the ancient Srisailam Temple and enjoy the natural beauty of the surrounding Nallamala Hills without the discomfort of excessive heat or rainfall.

However, if you're interested in experiencing local festivities, you might want to consider visiting during Maha Shivaratri, usually in February or March. This is when Srisailam experiences a surge in religious tourism as devotees flock to the town for the grand celebration of the festival dedicated to Lord Shiva. Although the town gets crowded, the spiritual energy and festive excitement provide a unique experience. Do keep in mind that accommodation during this period can be scarce and often expensive due to the high demand, so it's advisable to book your stay well in advance.
